Epoxy flooring is the addition of a highly durable epoxy resin to new or old concrete substrate. The gloss or satin finish is available in a variety of colours and requires re-coating every five to ten years.
Hard-wearing
Epoxy floors are ideal for undercover external areas such as garages because of their high resistance to heat, impact and oil. Epoxy protects concrete because the surface is actually harder and more durable than concrete. The coating forms a film which is denser than paint.
We use mechanical grinding to prepare the concrete rather than acid, and locally manufactured products designed for harsh Australian conditions.
Old or damaged concrete?
Epoxy is a two-part product composed of a resin and a hardener. Because it acts as a filler, epoxy can be applied to rough or uneven surfaces, making this a perfect choice for giving new life to old or damaged concrete.
Maintenance
Epoxy floors are low maintenance and allergy-free. When detergent is required, use a pH-neutral solution.
